Dr. Jarna Rathod-Bhatt

Dr. Jarna Rathod-Bhatt is a native Kenyan. Her family immigrated to the Unites States when she was ten years old. Dr. Rathod was inspired to become a podiatrist due to a lifelong love of both art and science, which she felt was most perfectly combined in the practice of podiatric medicine and surgery. She received her Doctorate at the New York College of Podiatric Medicine in New York, NY and her Bachelor of Science in Biology at Saint John's University in Queens, New York. She completed a three year podiatric residency at Northshore-LIJ Hospital in Forest Hills, NY and a subsequent fellowship year of training at Hunt Regional Medical Center in Greenville, TX under the mentorship of Dr. Steven Brancheau. Her training was focused on all aspects of podiatric medicine and surgery with particular emphasis on lower extremity trauma, elective foot and ankle reconstruction, and wound care. She is certified by the American Board of Podiatric Medicine and qualified in forefoot and rearfoot surgery by the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons. Dr. Rathod wishes to bring a community based approach to patient care focused on conservative treatment and patient education.  In her spare time, she enjoys hiking, traveling and water sports. She is fluent in Swahili, Hindi, and Gujarati, and hopes to return to Kenya one day on a mission trip.
